What is Rider Pride Inside? The Rider Pride Inside movement began with 4 young men from Saskatchewan, all of whom are good friends, vowing to reunite every season at the annual Labour Day Classic in Regina. Starting in 2001, the reunion has not only persevered, but grown in to multiple trips to Rider games in Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver to date. These pledges have attended 3 Grey Cup games, in 2003 and 2005 and most recently the 2007 Grey Cup victory in Toronto. The birth of the Rider Olympics took place in 2004 in Calgary, AB to coincide with the Roughriders visit to Calgary. We look to continue the tradition for many years to come. Rider Pride has been a term used by Rider Fans for decades to describe ourselves during the good times and bad. The 4 founding members, all of which have backgrounds in the Information Technology industry, found it fitting to repurpose an old slogan of a highly respected and successful company in the IT industry to help visualize and channel our support for the Green and White. As of now, there continue to be the 4 founders and our support has grown as we have dozens upon dozens of associate and honorary members, who I would like to thank at this time. Without you, Rider Pride Inside and the Rider Olympics would mean nothing. You are the key to our success! |
